Cheryll Matunda grew up in a very nice neighborhood with two sisters and one brother. Growing up Cheryll felt accustomed to the company of her siblings and they did lots of things together with their parents.

Cheryll graduated from Overbrook High school. Cheryll then graduated from technical school, where she studied electronic engineering. She started working after graduating. During her work as an assistant program director, she played many roles within the organization, one being an afterschool director. In the summertime, she was the director of the summer camp. She also was a sitter at the Presbytery of Philadelphia Church on Sundays, during morning service. Then she met her husband, whom she married, and they have four sons.

Cheryll is now the grandmother to fifteen grandchildren and is looking forward to retiring and living in a tiny house, Lord be willing!
