Meet Our Directors
Ms. Leigh Moran – School Director
Leigh Moran joins with a sense of humor, flexibility and over 25 years of extensive childcare experience. A graduate of Slippery Rock University, her first daycare job was as an aide while earning her Baccalaureate degree in Parks & Recreation.
Throughout her career, she has taught PreK 3 & 4 classes, toddlers and youth gym classes all while working in local preschools. During COVID, she was a pod teacher for local families, who were looking for much needed assistance in their home setting.
Leigh found her way to Saint Miriam School after COVID, where she first began as a floater, then as our PreK 4’s teacher. During this time, she was asked to continue her career as Co-Director along with Brother Sean.
Leigh’s favorite thing about working in childcare is seeing the daily changes as the children grow and develop in all aspects of life and successfully navigate the world around them. Weekly, Leigh is in a classroom reading, helping or just visiting and getting to know the children.
Leigh and her husband reside in Glenside with their three rescue cats. She is looking forward to being a first-time grandmother in the fall.

In 1999, Father was assigned to open a mission in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, serving as Pastor of Nuestra Senora del Carmen Parish and establishing a Summer Formation Program for seminarians to learn Spanish and immerse themselves in the culture.
Upon his return, Father Liam served as Pastor for eight years at St. Patrick Parish in Norristown and then for four years at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in West Grove.
In 2015, along with another priest, Father Liam opened a “storefront church” called Mother of Mercy House, in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. This site served as the Church’s presence in an area where all the parishes had closed. The ministry reached out to the poor, underprivileged, homeless and immigrants in the area.
While loving his ministry, Father Liam always felt a pull towards reaching out to those who felt rejected by or left out of the Church. He felt drawn towards the LGBTQ+ community, to those who were remarried and others who longed for communion with God and the Church, but were barred from God’s table. His desire was to truly welcome all to the Table of the Lord so that they could feast on Love and be nourished by Love in order to discover themselves as truly loved and as part of the Family of God. Then they could put their own gifts at the service of the People of God. After years of struggle and prayer, Father Liam discovered he could best answer this divine pull by ministering at a wonderful, all-inclusive place like Saint Miriam Parish Community.
Father Liam enjoys reading theology and spirituality. Some of his favorite writers/thinkers are Teilhard de Chardin, Ilia Delio, Richard Rohr, Gerard Lohfink, and Brian McLaren. He also enjoys a good novel.
Father Liam also relaxes by playing piano, talking walks in the city and enjoying the company of good friends.
(The Right Reverend Doctor) Monsignor James Michael St. George, Pastor, NTh.D, OSF, OCR, MS, MDiv, B.C.E.T.S.

He had been Bishop-Elect for the Diocese since 2013 wherein he requested of His Grace, the Presiding Bishop, to remain a functioning pastor of his parish, even after his consecration to Bishop. Father believes the best way for him to continue his work as a Franciscan, and the work of the Petrine Ministry, is by his remaining an active pastor. Father completed his work toward the Novitiate for the Franciscans, Order of Saint Francis, Old Catholic (OSF), professing his Vows in June 2013.
